Remote (South Africa) | Supporting UK SME Clients
ZAR 30,000 – 40,000 per month + Performance Incentives

As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking a commercially minded Business Development & Partnerships Consultant to help expand our client base, develop referral partnerships, and generate qualified opportunities across the UK SME market.
This is a relationship-led business development role focused on creating opportunities through networking, referrals, strategic partnerships, and targeted outreach. It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys building professional relationships, opening conversations, and identifying commercial opportunities.
The Opportunity
Working closely with our consulting, coaching, and marketing teams, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities whilst developing a strong network of referral partners that contribute to long-term growth.
You will play a key role in building awareness of our services, engaging prospective clients, and creating a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities for our consultants.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Opportunity Generation
- Engage with UK SME business owners to identify potential opportunities.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, LinkedIn, referrals, industry groups, and targeted business development activity.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
- Arrange discovery and strategy meetings for our consultants and coaches.
- Provide professional and consistent follow-up with prospective clients.
Partnership & Referral Development
Build relationships with organisations that support SME business owners, including:
- Accountants
- HR Consultancies
- Recruitment Firms
- Business Advisors
- Professional Service Providers
- Develop referral partnerships that generate ongoing introductions and opportunities.
- Maintain and strengthen existing partner relationships.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that support business growth.
Networking & Market Engagement
- Represent the business at online networking events, webinars, and business forums.
- Build productive relationships with key contacts and industry professionals.
- Increase awareness of our services within relevant business communities.
- Maintain a strong professional network across the UK SME market.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Qualify opportunities against agreed business criteria.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.
- Track activity, pipeline progression, and conversion performance.
- Provide regular reporting on opportunities, pipeline value, and business development activity.
- Share market feedback and prospect insights with the wider team.
About You
You are a proactive relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and developing long-term business relationships.
You will have:
- Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, recruitment, account management, partnership development, or commercial relationship management.
- A proven track record of generating opportunities and building client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- A professional and consultative approach to business conversations.
- Experience using LinkedIn, CRM systems, and sales enablement tools.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Professional spoken and written English.
- Availability to work UK business hours.
Desirable Experience
Whilst not essential, the following would be highly beneficial:
- Experience working with UK businesses or UK-based clients.
- Exposure to coaching, consulting, professional services, or training environments.
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience.
- Previous remote-working experience.
