Job description
AluGro seeks an ambitious, self-motivated Business Development Specialist to spearhead our expansion into South Africa and African markets. This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic business operator with deep industry knowledge, an existing client network, and the ability to establish Alugro as a premium supplier of glass, mirror, and aluminium solutions across the African continent. The ideal candidate will combine sales excellence with technical field competency, client relationship mastery, and entrepreneurial drive to penetrate the commercial construction, hospitality, and architectural sectors across Africa.
This is not a traditional sales role—it requires a business visionary who can identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, establish operations in new markets, and generate significant revenue growth while maintaining exceptional client standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate R2m–R5m in quarterly revenue within 12 months
- Develop 30–40 qualified leads per month
- Conduct 60–80 client site visits monthly
- Achieve 15–20% sales conversion rate
- Perform site measurements and prepare technical proposals
- Build and maintain strategic client relationships
- Meet and exceed sales targets consistently
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of commercial sales or business development experience
- Established network of industry contacts
- Technical skills: Site measurement and technical drawing proficiency
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (50–60% local)
- Strong closer with proven negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Results-driven mindset with ability to work independently
- Track record of exceeding sales targets
