Business Development Specialist - Crypto & Security Solutions

A well-established technology and security company is on the hunt for a Specialist: Business Development – Crypto to help drive growth across their client base — both new logos and existing accounts.

This role suits someone who's comfortable with complex B2B sales cycles, enjoys engaging with senior decision-makers, and can confidently steer a deal from first conversation to signed contract.

What you'll be doing

• Growing revenue within your allocated accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
• Building and executing account plans aimed at growth and retention.
• Hunting new business and expanding market share.
• Cultivating strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors and internal teams.
• Engaging confidently with senior managers and execs to understand their challenges and goals.
• Owning the full sales cycle — from spotting the opportunity through to close and invoicing.
• Running client presentations and putting together strong proposals, tenders, RFQs and RFPs.
• Keeping a finger on the pulse of market trends, client pain points and competitor moves.
• Keeping CRM records, forecasts and reporting accurate and up to date.
• Getting out to industry events and building your professional network.
• Collaborating with technical, product, legal, compliance and finance teams to deliver joined-up client solutions.
• Continuously sharpening your product and industry knowledge.

What you'll need

• Grade 12 minimum.
• 5+ years' B2B sales experience, ideally selling complex solutions to senior managers/execs in mid-tier or enterprise businesses.
• A track record of hitting and beating sales targets.
• Solid business development and account management chops.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Sharp commercial instincts and an eye for detail.
• A working understanding of IT and technology concepts.
• Comfortable with MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience in ICT or Cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with PKI, encryption technologies and HSMs (Hardware Security Modules).
