Turn Gaming Data Into Commercial Direction
Every bet placed, game played, bonus activated and session completed creates a data point. The value lies in turning those data points into clear commercial intelligence.
We are seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to support a fast-paced iGaming and sports betting operation. This role will be responsible for extracting, analysing and presenting data relating to game performance, player activity, sportsbook results and gaming platform performance.
You will work closely with senior executives and key commercial stakeholders, translating complex datasets into concise reporting, actionable insight and informed recommendations.
The Role
The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide accurate and commercially relevant reporting across casino, sportsbook and digital gaming platforms.
You will be expected to understand the story behind the numbers, identify the factors influencing performance and communicate your findings clearly to executive-level stakeholders.
This is an ideal opportunity for an analyst who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement and a solid understanding of how an iGaming or sports betting business operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, consolidate and analyse data from sportsbook, casino, gaming platform and player management systems
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports for senior executives and business leaders
- Report on sportsbook results, gaming revenue, gross gaming revenue, net gaming revenue, stakes, payouts, margins and player activity
- Analyse game, provider and platform performance across casino and sports betting products
- Monitor player registrations, first-time depositors, active players, deposits, withdrawals, turnover, retention and reactivation
- Identify trends, anomalies, performance risks and commercial opportunities within large datasets
- Build and maintain executive dashboards, automated reports and business intelligence tools
- Evaluate the performance of games, leagues, markets, sporting events, promotions and product campaigns
- Investigate movements in margin, revenue, player value and product engagement
- Analyse customer cohorts, player segments, channel performance and behavioural trends
- Support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning with accurate data and performance modelling
- Work with Product, Trading, Casino, CRM, Finance, Marketing and Operations teams to define reporting requirements
- Improve data quality, reporting consistency and KPI definitions across the business
- Present findings to executive stakeholders in a clear, concise and commercially relevant format
- Provide data-led recommendations that support revenue growth, customer engagement and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to data sources, reporting logic and dashboard methodology
Key Reporting Areas
The successful candidate may be responsible for reporting across areas including:
- Sportsbook turnover, gross win, margin and payout performance
- Casino game and provider performance
- Gross gaming revenue and net gaming revenue
- Player acquisition, conversion and retention
- First-time depositors and depositing player activity
- Active player trends and player frequency
- Deposits, withdrawals and payment behaviour
- Bonus costs, promotional performance and return on investment
- Customer lifetime value and player segmentation
- Product, channel and platform performance
- League, market, event and fixture profitability
- VIP and high-value player performance
- Operational and commercial forecasting
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Gaming Analyst role
- Experience within the iGaming, online casino, sportsbook or sports betting industry is strongly preferred
- Strong experience working with large and complex datasets
- Advanced SQL skills
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Looker or a comparable business intelligence platform
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience building dashboards, automated reporting solutions and executive reporting packs
- Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation and reporting processes
- Experience working with sportsbook, casino, player account management or gaming platform data would be advantageous
- Exposure to Python, R, data warehousing or cloud-based analytics environments would be beneficial
- Understanding of gaming KPIs, player behaviour and commercial performance metrics would be highly advantageous
