Business Intelligence Manager

As the Commercial Performance & Business Intelligence Manager, you will serve as a core analytical driver behind major business decisions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will lead a dedicated analytics team to translate vast transactional, financial, and operational datasets into clear, actionable commercial intelligence.

In this role, you won't just report numbers, you will actively shape product pricing, evaluate strategic partnerships, safeguard gross margins, and act as a pivotal assessment gatekeeper for new commercial initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Analytics & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data/Financial Analysts, championing analytical rigor, data governance, and best practices across the team.
• BI Architecture & Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain intuitive Power BI/Tableau dashboards providing real-time visibility into content performance, stock levels, gross profit contribution, and treasury positions.
• Commercial Gatekeeping: Serve as the primary analytical assessment gate for content acquisition and supplier/customer onboarding, conducting financial modeling and scenario analysis against GP% targets and WACC thresholds.
• Transactional Analysis: Analyze high-volume transactional data across key digital categories—including airtime, data, bill payments, electricity, and vouchers—to uncover trends, commercial opportunities, and risk anomalies.
• Financial & P&L Reporting: Develop standardized profit-and-loss reporting frameworks and executive packs for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews per customer, supplier, and content category.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with procurement, pricing, and technology teams to optimize pricing strategies, improve stock utilization, and strengthen data pipeline integrations.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business intelligence, commercial analytics, or financial reporting role.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL working with large, complex transactional datasets, paired with hands-on experience building dynamic reports in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial modeling, margin contribution analysis, P&L reporting, and cost-of-capital concepts (e.g., WACC, GP%).
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and elevate the output of analysts or junior team members.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex financial and data concepts into engaging stories and clear recommendations for executive, non-technical stakeholders.
