The successful candidate will support the organisation’s data-driven transformation by contributing to data governance, business process optimisation and automation, data analytics, dashboard development, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

Job Role

The Business Intelligence Trainee Will

Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all data processes (collection, storage, processing, and transfer)
Support forecasting, predictive analytics, and integration of BI solutions with business systems to strengthen reporting, modelling, and decision-making capabilities
Collaborate with business units and IT to maintain the organisation’s data warehouse and data management standards
Support initiatives that improve data accessibility, consistency, reliability, and reporting across the organisation
Identify and support automation of manual business processes
Apply Business Intelligence tools to analyse business, customer, operational, and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and root causes
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualisations to provide clear, accurate, and actionable insights for management and stakeholders

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

BSc Software Engineering with Multimedia, BSc/BEng Computer Science, or BSc/BEng Data Engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools will be an added advantage
Strong communication and presentation skills
High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Learning agility
