Job description
Job Purpose:
The Intermediate Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for analysing, documenting, and facilitating business and system requirements across Amrod’s core business applications. This role supports the successful delivery of projects and change initiatives by ensuring clarity and alignment between business stakeholders, developers, and testers.
The Intermediate BSA works closely with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, and Project Managers to translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and process flows. The role plays a key part in the SDLC by supporting solution design, requirement validation, and UAT coordination.
Key Performance Areas:
- Gather and document business and system requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and analysis sessions.
- Create supporting documentation (flows, mockups, scenarios).
- Support backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Collaborate with Developers and Testers.
- Assist with UAT planning and coordination.
- Maintain traceability of requirements across SDLC.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Role Requirements
Qualifications and/ or Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., ECBA, CCBA) or Agile Product Ownership is advantageous.
- Agile and SDLC methodology knowledge required.
Experience and skills:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in an IT or business systems environment.
- Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for documentation and backlog management.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping sessions.
- Understanding of system integration principles and data flow mapping is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
