Maritz Electrical is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our team on a fixed-term maternity leave contract. If you have a passion for procurement, supplier negotiations, and ensuring materials are delivered on time and within budget, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and procure electrical materials and related products.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to support operational requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Resolve supply chain challenges and proactively identify alternative sourcing solutions.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Experience within the electrical, construction, or related industry will be advantageous.
• Sound understanding of electrical and lighting materials.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
