What you will enjoy doing

• You will be responsible for researching potential vendors
• Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers will form a major part of your responsibilities
• Additionally, you will be required to negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• You will be required to maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage of goods will be your responsibility

What makes you great

• You have a Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
• A National Diploma or a Degree in Purchasing, Supply or equivalent is in your possession
• You possess 3 to 4 years' work experience as a purchasing officer, purchasing agent or similar position
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors
• You have hands on experience with purchasing software and good understanding of supply chain procedures
• Additionally, you have solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
