Job Description

ZAFRA SA is looking for experienced Outbound Call Centre Agents to join our growing South African call centre, supporting UK-based campaigns across both B2B and B2C outbound calling.

We are looking for confident, professional communicators who have previous experience calling into the UK market. This role will suit someone who is target-driven, resilient, well-spoken, and able to build rapport quickly over the phone.

You will be responsible for making outbound calls on behalf of UK clients, which may include appointment setting, lead generation, customer engagement, membership or donor calling, surveys, reactivation, and other outbound support campaigns.

This is an office-based role at our call centre in Camperdown, KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to UK businesses and/or consumers, depending on the campaign.
• Engage prospects and customers in a professional, confident, and friendly manner.
• Book appointments, generate leads, complete surveys, or achieve campaign-specific outcomes.
• Follow campaign scripts while adapting conversations naturally and professionally.
• Accurately update CRM systems and call records after each interaction.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
• Manage objections positively and professionally.
• Work closely with Team Leaders and colleagues to improve performance.
• Maintain high standards of compliance, call quality, and customer care.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for candidates who have:

• At least 1 year of call centre experience. This is essential.
• Previous outbound call centre experience.
• Experience calling UK customers or UK businesses.
• A confident and professional telephone manner.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
• A target-driven mindset and the motivation to achieve results.
• Good attention to detail when updating systems and recording outcomes.
• The ability to handle rejection and remain positive throughout the day.
• A reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

• UK B2B appointment setting.
• Lead generation.
• Sales or customer reactivation.
• Customer service or customer engagement campaigns.
• CRM or dialler-based outbound calling.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year call centre experience is required.
• Outbound calling experience is preferred.
• Previous UK calling experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluent English is essential.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work UK business hours.
• Must be able to work from our Camperdown call centre.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and target-focused.
