Find people who need a product/service, explain why it’s the right fit, and close the sale* to hit targets.

Core Responsibilities* 1. *Prospecting & Lead Generation* → Call, email, social media, or door-to-door to find potential customers 2. *Product Presentations* → Explain features, benefits, pricing, and handle objections in person, on phone, or online 3. *Closing Sales* → Negotiate terms, overcome price objections, and get the customer to sign/commit 4. *Meet Targets/KPIs* → Work to daily, weekly, or monthly sales quotas. Commission is usually part of pay 5. *Customer Service & Follow-up* → Onboard new clients, answer questions, and keep relationships for repeat business/referrals 6. *Admin & Reporting* → Update CRM, track leads, submit quotes, invoices, and sales reports *2. Key Skills Needed* 1. *Communication & Persuasion* → Clear, confident, good listener 2. *Resilience* → You’ll hear “no” a lot. You can’t take it personally 3. *Product Knowledge* → You have to believe in and know what you’re selling 4. *Time Management* → Balance prospecting, meetings, and admin without a boss watching 5. *Negotiation* → Find win-win on price, terms, or packages *3. Typical Requirements in SA* 1. *Education*: Matric minimum. Sales/diploma or industry cert is a plus 2. *Experience*: 1-2 years sales experience preferred, but many companies train entry-level
