Cambridge Primary French Teacher

Lonehill International Academy seeks to appoint a dynamic and passionate French Teacher within the Cambridge Primary School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French across the Cambridge Primary phase in alignment with the Cambridge curriculum and the school’s language programme. The role requires an enthusiastic educator who can foster a love for languages while creating engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Key Performance Areas

· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons for learners from Stage 1 to Stage 7.

· Develop learners’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French.

· Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learner needs.

· Monitor and assess learner progress through continuous and formal assessments.

· Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.

· Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding learner progress.

· Participate fully in school life, including events, staff meetings, and development initiatives.

· Contribute to the promotion and growth of languages within the school.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

· Relevant teaching qualification (BEd/PGCE or equivalent)

· SACE registration

· Clear criminal record

· Experience teaching French within a primary school environment

· Experience with or understanding of the Cambridge curriculum would be advantageous

· Strong classroom management and organisational skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching tools

· A passion for learner-centred and innovative education

Pay: From R20 000,00 per month

• Foreign Language French (Required)

License/Certification:

• SACE Certificate (Required)
• Driving License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
