Job description
Position Purpose
The Campus Administrator will provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to ensure the effective coordination and implementation of office procedures. The role includes responsibility for specific projects and tasks, while actively contributing to capacity development and quality promotion for leadership, academic staff, support staff, and learners, in line with institutional policies, strategies, frameworks, and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional support to learners and address walk-in queries.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of institutional policies regarding student registrations, de-registrations, cancellations, and overall registration management.
- Verify and capture enrolment forms accurately on the ITS management system, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete.
- Assist the Finance Department with student accounts and related queries.
- Ensure accurate invoicing of students.
- Manage the front reception desk and operate the switchboard professionally.
- Draft and send official communications, acknowledging receipt where required.
- Maintain and monitor efficient filing systems.
- Coordinate the finalization of graduation lists.
- Follow up on student concerns and results-related issues.
- Safeguard enrolment forms and verify their accuracy.
- Collect and compile data from Campus Managers and senior management in a structured and professional manner.
- Organize and manage paperwork, documents, and computer-based information to support daily business operations.
- Provide administrative support to various functional departments across campuses and the corporate office.
- Liaise effectively with internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Assist colleagues with reports and information collection.
- Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant degree (NQF Level 7) in a related field, with sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge.
- Previous experience as a campus administrator or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in debtors’ management.
- Professional telephone and email etiquette.
