Job description

Vacancy - Car Rental Agent

We are looking for professional, customer-focused Car Rental Agents to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can manage bookings, customer queries, and vehicle rental administration with confidence and accuracy.

Durban, Sandton, Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist customers with vehicle bookings, reservations, collections, and returns.

· Prepare and process rental agreements, payments, and supporting documentation accurately.

· Verify driver’s licences and ensure all rental requirements are met.

· Inspect vehicles before and after rental, noting any damage or concerns.

· Respond to customer enquiries professionally and resolve issues promptly.

· Promote additional products and services to support sales targets.

· Coordinate with the operations or fleet team to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.

· Maintain high service standards and comply with company policies and data privacy requirements.

Requirements

· Matric or equivalent qualification.

· Previous experience in car rental, reservations, customer service, counter sales, or a similar customer-facing role would be advantageous.

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills.

· Computer literacy and confidence working with booking or office systems.

· A valid, unendorsed driver’s licence for a minimum of 3 years; ability to drive manual vehicles is required. PDP would be advantageous.

· Professional appearance and a customer-first attitude.

· Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

· Good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
