Job description
To render and meet the needs of the resident in the Care Facility for older persons while helping them to maintain a high quality of life and to prolong and enhance their independence. Uphold the Rights of the older person and prevent elder abuse.
GENERAL
Perform all duties with respect and dignity towards residents, their family and co - workers. Perform all duties as allocated by Sister or Staff nurse. Check on resident's condition and report. Assist residents with personal care including dressing, mobility and eating. Serve meals and assist resident with their meals. Feed resident if needed. Assist resident with ambulation and mobility - safe transfer from bed to chair and back. Ensure resident takes enough fluids and keeps well hydrated. Ensure resident's safety and wellbeing. Ensure a clean environment for resident. Keep correct waste management procedure. correct disposal of incontinent diapers. Correct handeling and storing of resident's clothes. Good oral and written communication skills. Record all activities done with resident in progress report notes.
