Job description
VACANCY: COMPLEX CARETAKER (PRETORIA – 48 UNITS)
We are looking for a trustworthy, hands-on Caretaker to manage a 48-unit residential complex in Pretoria.
Working hours are weekdays 08:00 to 17:00 (telephonically available after hours and weekend)
Key Duties:
Daily property inspections & reporting to Trustees/Managing Agent
Minor hands-on repairs & maintenance (plumbing, lighting, locks, gate/fence checks)
Supervising gardeners, cleaners, and specialized contractors
Ensuring security systems, refuse collection, and gardens are well-maintained
Handling resident maintenance queries & maintaining complex registers/logs
Requirements:
Previous complex caretaker/facilities experience
Strong handyman skills & admin capability
Excellent communication & professional customer service
Familiarity with complex rules & safety standards
Valid drivers licence
