Carpenter

AAH Construction is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out carpentry, repairs, installations, maintenance, and general construction-related duties according to project specifications, quality standards, and site safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role
• Must have a Carpentry Trade Test Certificate or relevant carpentry qualification
• Experience in construction, building maintenance, repairs, and installations
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions
• Knowledge of timber, boards, ceilings, doors, frames, cupboards, formwork, skirting, and general carpentry works
• Ability to use carpentry tools and equipment safely
• Must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
• Must follow site health and safety rules at all times

Key Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work, repairs, maintenance, and installations
• Install, repair, and maintain doors, frames, ceilings, cupboards, skirting, partitions, and related woodwork
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and fit materials accurately
• Assist with formwork, shuttering, and other construction carpentry duties when required
• Read and follow drawings, measurements, and instructions from the Site Supervisor
• Ensure all work is completed neatly and according to required quality standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
• Follow all site safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with other general construction duties when required
