Cash office Supervisor

Job description:

The Cash Office Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all cash office functions, ensuring accurate processing, balancing, and control of all store cash transactions. The role involves supervising cash office staff, maintaining compliance with company policies, and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date

Key Responsibilities:·

• Supervise the daily operations of the Cash Office.
• Ensure accurate counting, balancing, and reconciliation of cash, tills, vouchers, and banking.
• Prepare and verify daily cash reports and documentation.
• Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed according to company policies.
• Investigate and resolve cash shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
• Manage cash collections, float distribution, and safe controls.
• Train, guide, and support Cash Office staff.
• Maintain accurate records and filing of all financial documents.
• Liaise with management regarding cash-related matters and reporting.
• Ensure a high level of confidentiality and security of financial information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Previous Cash Office, Cashier Supervisor, or Retail Administration experience.
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
• Good knowledge of cash handling procedures and controls.
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and retail systems.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
