We are looking for a professional, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our contract catering team within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the point-of-sale system, processing customer transactions accurately, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the dining facility

Duties & Responsibilities

Accurately process cash, card, and other payment transactions. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently. Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily takings. Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times. Assist with serving food and beverages when required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of cashier and service areas. Ensure products are correctly priced and displayed. Address customer queries and escalate concerns where necessary. Adhere to food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards. Support the catering team during peak service periods. Assist with stock counts and basic administrative duties as required.### Skills and Competencies

Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and customer-centric approach. Reliable, honest, and trustworthy.### Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
Previous cashier experience in a catering, hospitality, retail, restaurant, or corporate dining environment.
