Cashier: Fertilizer Division (Humansdorp, Eastern Cape)

SSK is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Cashier to join our Fertilizer division in Humansdorp. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for point-of-sale (POS) transactions, managing payments, and supporting daily branch administrative duties. Key Responsibilities

• POS & Payment Processing: Accurately record daily sales using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash, card, and digital payment methods safely and efficiently.
• Administrative Support: Perform essential administrative duties linked to the cashier desk, ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Customer Communication: Manage incoming telephone inquiries and assist walk-in clients with professional, courteous service.
• Operational Accuracy: Maintain consistently balanced cash drawers and adhere to internal financial controls.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant cashiering or retail administrative experience.
• Languages: Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English required) with strong verbal and written communication skills. Technical Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and proficiency in basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications & Traits

• Prior knowledge or experience in agricultural sales and related agri-products.
• High level of accuracy, organisational capability, and consistency.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and precise under high-pressure retail periods.
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
