Job description

Main responsibilities:

Manage the daily operation of the onboard casino.
Supervise casino staff, including dealers, slot attendants, cashiers and supervisors.
Ensure gaming operations run smoothly, professionally and securely.
Monitor casino revenue, financial performance and operational targets.
Ensure compliance with gaming laws, company policies and shipboard regulations.
Monitor gaming tables, slot machines, cash handling and casino equipment.
Investigate discrepancies, complaints and unusual gaming or financial activity.
Maintain high standards of guest service and resolve guest concerns.
Recruit, train, coach and evaluate casino employees.
Prepare staff schedules and allocate duties.
Conduct regular inspections and operational checks.
Work closely with the ship's management, security, finance and hotel departments.
Maintain accurate records and reports.
Ensure responsible-gaming procedures are followed.
Participate in shipboard meetings, training and emergency procedures.

Typical requirements

Several years of casino/gaming experience.
Strong knowledge of table games and/or slot operations.
Experience managing and training casino staff.
Strong cash-handling and financial-control knowledge.
Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
Knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work long hours and in a fast-paced environment.
Good English; additional languages are advantageous.
Previous cruise-ship casino experience is highly advantageous.

Pay: R35 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month
