CATERING MANAGER VACANCY
Location: Durban – Wellness Hospital

An established catering company is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Catering Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Wellness Hospital kitchen in Morningside Durban.

This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the leadership skills to ensure exceptional food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 3 years' experience in the hospitality or catering industry.
A genuine passion for food and delivering excellent customer service.
Sound knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
The ability to manage food costs and work effectively within a budget.
Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
A willingness to work flexible and extended hours when operationally required.
Computer literacy and being able to work well with Microsoft Office
The ability to start immediately or within a short notice period.
A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport will be advantageous.
A Chef qualification or relevant hospitality qualification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and customer service.
Manage and motivate kitchen and service staff.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels, control food costs, and minimise waste.
Plan menus and ensure meals are prepared and served according to company standards.
Liaise with management and clients to ensure patient satisfaction.
Achieve set targets for budgets and hygiene audits

Remuneration
