About the Role

Agility Projects & Consulting (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Certified Cyber Response Engineer to support enterprise cyber security projects within the public sector environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to cyber security incidents, implementing security controls, conducting investigations, supporting threat remediation activities, and maintaining secure enterprise environments.

Minimum RequirementsQualifications

• National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6) or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant Cyber Security certification, such as:
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CISSP
• CompTIA Security+
• GIAC
• Microsoft Security certifications
• Or equivalent recognised cyber security certification.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
• IT administration with a focus on cyber security;
• Security incident response;
• Enterprise security operations and infrastructure security.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and investigate cyber security incidents.
• Conduct threat analysis and incident containment activities.
• Implement and maintain security controls.
• Support vulnerability management and remediation initiatives.
• Perform root cause analysis and forensic investigations.
• Maintain security documentation, procedures, and reports.
• Support business continuity and cyber resilience activities.
• Assist with security monitoring and response operations.

Technical Competencies

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platforms;
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR);
• Firewalls and network security technologies;
• Identity and Access Management (IAM);
• Vulnerability assessment tools;
• Microsoft security technologies;
• Incident response and digital forensics processes.
