Job Purpose
The Change Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing organizational change initiatives that ensure successful adoption of new business processes, technologies, and ways of working. The role focuses on minimizing resistance, maximizing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that change initiatives deliver the intended business outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesChange Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans for organizational and technology transformation projects.
- Conduct change impact assessments to identify affected stakeholders, business processes, and operational risks.
- Create change roadmaps aligned with project objectives and organizational goals.
- Ensure change activities are integrated into the overall project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and analyze key stakeholders and assess their readiness for change.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, project teams, business leaders, and end users.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and feedback sessions to address concerns and improve adoption.
- Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the change journey.
Communication Management
- Develop and execute communication strategies that keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Prepare communication materials including presentations, newsletters, FAQs, emails, and executive updates.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and adjust strategies where necessary.
Training and Knowledge Transfer
- Assess training needs across business units.
- Develop training plans and coordinate the delivery of user training.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop user guides, manuals, and learning materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Change Readiness and Adoption
- Conduct organizational readiness assessments.
- Measure user adoption through surveys, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Develop resistance management strategies to address barriers to change.
- Monitor adoption and reinforce sustainable behavioural change.
Project Support
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Technical Teams to integrate change management into project delivery.
- Participate in project planning sessions and governance meetings.
- Identify change-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular progress reports to project sponsors and steering committees.
Performance Monitoring
- Define and track change management KPIs.
- Monitor project adoption, stakeholder engagement, and organizational readiness.
- Prepare post-implementation reviews and lessons learned documentation.
- Recommend continuous improvement initiatives for future change programmes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Project Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prosci Change Management Certification (preferred).
- PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner (advantageous).
- Agile or Scrum certification (advantageous).
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Change Management, Business Transformation, Project Management, or Organizational Development.
- Experience managing change for digital transformation, ERP, CRM, ServiceNow, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise technology implementations.
- Experience working within cross-functional and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale organizational transformation initiatives.
