Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie / All-Rounder Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have formal culinary training, a strong understanding of bistro-style à la carte cuisine, and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality dishes across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.

This role requires a hands-on team player with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for good food and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Assist in developing and updating seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet WedgeView’s standards.
• Set up and maintain stations with all necessary ingredients and equipment (mise en place).
• Ensure kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety compliance at all times.
• Manage stock rotation, storage, and portion control to minimise waste.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Support smooth kitchen operations and maintain a positive, professional work environment.

Requirements

• Formal chef training (Chef School Diploma or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a restaurant, hotel, or guesthouse kitchen.
• Experience preparing both à la carte and plated breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
• Strong understanding of modern cooking and presentation techniques.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Own transport or use of public transport
