Job description
- Prepare and cook food according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Complete mise en place before meal service.
- Ensure food is presented consistently and meets company standards.
- Supervise and support Commis Chefs and trainee cooks
- Help maintain stock levels and report shortages.
- Minimize food waste and ensure proper portion control.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist during busy service periods and support other galley sections when needed.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or cruise ship kitchen.
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie.
- Culinary diploma or professional chef qualification is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Must Live in Paarl
Pay: R7 500,00 per month
