Child Minder

Bootlegger is looking for a warm, reliable Child Minder to look after the little ones in the kids area at our Sandown store. If you love children, keep a close eye on safety, and bring good energy, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role where you'll keep children safe, happy, and engaged while their families enjoy their time with us.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children at all times and prioritise their safety
• Interact, play, and engage with the children
• Communicate with parents about their child's needs or any concerns
• Clean and sanitise toys and the kids area daily
• Check the area regularly for safety hazards
• Report any broken toys, damaged equipment, or safety concerns immediately
• Keep the kids area neat, organised, and welcoming throughout the day

What we're looking for

• A caring, patient, and attentive nature with children
• Some experience minding or caring for children (formal or informal)
• A strong sense of responsibility and constant awareness of safety
• Reliable, punctual, and available for the shifts below
• Friendly and comfortable communicating with parents
• Contactable references, and willingness to complete a background check
• The right to work in South Africa

The details

• Location: Bootlegger Sandown
• Working hours: 09:00 to 17:00
• Shifts: 2 to 3 shifts per week
• Pay: R30.23 per hour
