Senior Charge Nurse/Senior Charge Operating Department Practitioner, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit A unique opportunity is available, to apply for the Senior Charge Nurse/Senior Charge ODP role in our Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, Main Theatre Suite, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
ARI is a Major Trauma and ECMO referral centre and services remote locations including the North Sea oil and gas offshore industry. We aim to attract the best talent in perioperative services as we look to recruit.
The PACU at Main Theatre Suite, ARI consists of 17 patient bays supplying 17 operating theatres 24/7, 365 days a year. As SCN/SCODP you are responsible for the development and operational management of approx 46 WTE specialist PACU nurses across a continuum of beginner to proficient. You will have the support of our Theatre Academy and senior perioperative practitioner team.
We are seeking a clinically experienced nurse or ODP in PACU, Anaesthetics and/or Critical Care who can lead the service into the future through organisational change and service improvement.
Applicants with a dynamic, enthusiastic approach, combined with a passion for learning should apply. We value applicants who hold a portfolio of periop experience across the continuum of recovery and anaesthetics who can evidence extensive leadership experience, with a wide range of managerial skills and have a proven record of good attendance. Leadership and coaching skills will be an asset to succeed in this role.
Valid UK NMC/HCPC Registration is essential.
There will be a requirement to participate in out of hour’s on-call for emergency surgery.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
