Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
Salary:
- R6,000 per month
Contract Type:
- This is a temporary fixed-term maternity cover position.
- The appointment is for the duration of an employee's maternity leave only, in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA).
- This position is not permanent and will automatically terminate upon the return of the employee from maternity leave, or when the maternity cover is no longer required, whichever occurs first.
- There is no expectation or guarantee of permanent employment or renewal of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain offices, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise designated areas.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Perform any other reasonable cleaning duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is advantageous.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Able to work independently and follow instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out cleaning duties.
