Job Type Contract Occupational Function Support / Admin Number of Positions 1 Annual Salary Package (incl. Medical Aid rate based on principal member only) To be confirmed Advert Closing Date 7/7/2026 Job Purpose To support the department with the Clinical Mentoring, Instruction and Assessments of BSc Diagnostic Radiography students and associated administrative process including that of work integrated learning (WIL) and marks administration.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- BTech/BSc or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography (Clinical Instructor) or National Diploma (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification (Technical Assistant)
- At least five (5) years' clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiography
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiography: Independent Practice
- Compliant with HPCSA Continuous Professional Development
- A valid driver’s license
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the minimum requirements at Clinical Instructor level
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
- Clinical education and mentoring of diagnostic radiography students in CPUT clinical skills laboratories andHPCSA accredited and other workplace learning (WPL) sites
- Supervision and management of clinical skills laboratories
- Conduct or assist with clinical demonstrations and tutorials individually or utilizing small group teaching
- Regular monitoring of logbooks and progress reports, inclusive of student interviews to monitor progress
- Assist with clinical rosters, year plans and assure compliance with these
- Develop strategies and conduct clinical assessment to determine learner’s competencies in liaison with associatedprofessionals Competencies
- Efficiency in MS office
- Appropriate level of academic knowledge and clinical competency in diagnostic radiography
- Strong learner focus
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong work ethic
- Good communication, interpersonal, planning, organizational, facilitation and lecturing skills
- Administrative skills
- Versatility and flexibility
