Close Protection Officers

About the Role

We are seeking qualified Close Protection Officers (CPOs) with extensive experience to ensure the safety and security of clients in various settings. Your primary focus will be on risk assessment, personal safety strategies, and effective communication during high-stress situations. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding individuals and maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats to clients and implement appropriate protection strategies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive security plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Utilize your business-purpose firearm competencies, particularly with handguns, in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Monitor client activities and surroundings to prevent and respond to security incidents.
• Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Execute security protocols during transportation, ensuring safe travel routes and effective emergency response plans.
• Maintain detailed records of security operations, incidents, and client interactions.
• Provide frontline support in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and composure.

Requirements

• Valid PSIRA registration at either Grade A or B.
• Demonstrable experience as a Close Protection Officer or in a related security role.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and proficient driving skills.
• Proven track record of effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of security procedures and threat assessment techniques.
• Ability to operate firearms, specifically handguns, in compliance with South African regulations.
• Adept problem-solving skills, demonstrating calmness and decisiveness in high-stress situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional security certifications or training related to close protection.
• Experience working in diverse environments, including corporate, entertainment, or high-profile individuals.
• PSIRA Registered Grade A/B
• FireArm competent (Handgun for Business purposes)
• First Aid/CPR certification or similar emergency response training.
