Job Summary
We are looking for a driven and professional Club General Manager to lead daily gym operations, deliver exceptional member experiences, and drive club performance. The successful candidate will oversee staff management, sales, member retention, facility standards, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall daily operations of the gym club
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff teams
- Drive membership sales and retention targets
- Ensure high levels of customer service and member satisfaction
- Monitor club cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards
- Manage staff schedules, payroll inputs, and performance reviews
- Handle member queries, complaints, and escalations professionally
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
- Monitor club budgets, expenses, and financial performance
- Build a positive club culture and strong team environment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Fitness, or related field advantageous
- Minimum 1-3 years management experience in the fitness, hospitality, or service industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Sales and customer service experience
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and club management systems)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
