Location: Saxenburg Park 1, Blackheath
Position: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Programmer / Nesting Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating efficient nesting layouts for laser cutting, ensuring optimal material utilization, and preparing CNC programs for our laser cutting machine. You will play a key role in enhancing our production efficiency, reducing material waste, and maintaining our high standards of precision. Key Responsibilities:

Create Nesting Layouts: Use our software to optimize material use and minimize waste.
CNC Programming: Develop accurate CNC programs for laser cutting machines.
Optimize Materials: Analyze designs for the best material yield and cutting efficiency.
File Management: Handle design files (DXF, DWG) and ensure proper job setup.
Collaborate: Work with production and design teams to meet project requirements.
Quality Control: Ensure all programs meet tolerance and quality standards.
Troubleshoot: Resolve issues with nesting or programming during production.
Document: Keep accurate records of programs and material usage.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience: 2-3 years in CNC programming or nesting for laser cutting.
Software: Proficient in nesting software (Metalix, SigmaNEST) and CAD/CAM tools.
Material Knowledge: Familiar with steel, aluminum, copper, and more.
Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in layouts and programming.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills.
Education: Grade 12 (Matric)
Willingness to work in a hands-on environment
Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
