Code 10 Driver / Sheet Metal Workshop Assistant

About the Position

We are an established duct manufacturing company looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a dual-role position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering manufactured ducting products to customers and construction sites throughout Gauteng. When there are no deliveries, the employee will work in our manufacturing workshop assisting with sheet metal fabrication and general production duties.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both driving and hands-on workshop work.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African Code 10 (C1) or Code 14 driver's licence.
• Valid PrDP.
• Minimum 2 years' experience driving a 4-ton truck.
• Experience driving a Hyundai H100 or similar light commercial vehicle.
• Previous experience in a sheet metal, engineering, ducting, or fabrication workshop.
• Able to safely load, secure and transport manufactured ducting.
• Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Reside within a reasonable travelling distance of Steeledale.
• Contactable references.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties

• Deliver ducting and manufactured products safely throughout Gauteng.
• Complete delivery documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

Workshop Duties

• Assist with duct manufacturing and assembly.
• Operate workshop equipment under supervision.
• Cut, drill, rivet, seal and assemble duct sections.
• Assist with packing customer orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop.

Salary

Market-related salary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: R70,00 - R80,00 per hour
