COFO (Chief Operations Financial Officer)

A reputable and growing transport and logistics company is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operations Financial Officer (COFO) to lead and integrate operational performance, fleet management, and financial control across the business. This executive role is critical to

ensuring profitability, efficiency, compliance,

and sustainable growth.

REQUIREMENTS

· South African citizen

· Code B driver’s license and own transport

· Must be willing to be available after hours and weekends

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Handle all Debtors recons

· Oversee Creditors recons

· General Ledger to trial balance

· Cashbooks and recons

· VAT recons monthly

· Payroll journals and clearing accounts

· Monthly recons of Debtors.

· Monthly production figures for finance meeting

· Handling debtors’ queries

· Allocations of all customer payments and daily follow up on short payments from customers

· Assist Creditors Clerks with invoicing as required

· Budgets, cashflow projections and financial forecasting

· Trial balance and basic set up of financial reports, bank recons and other general finance admin

· Financial statements

· Assisting and play a vital supportive role to the CFO

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

· Grade 12

· Own reliable transport

· Transport and logistics knowledge

· Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Ability to work under pressure

· Energetic team player

· Strong systematic work ethic

· Advanced computer literacy

· Extensive Pastel experience

• Qualified Accountant – at least B. Com Degree CA(SA), AGA, CIMA or SAIPA would be beneficial.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-articles experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the transport industry.
• Excellent time management skills
• Staff management experience
• High level of integrity
• Professional, reliable and responsible
• Innovative and energetic
• Advanced computer literacy and experience in Pastel and VIP (preferably)
• Analytical, organized, precise and meticulous
• Own transport, cell phone and laptop

Pay: R360 000,00 - R600 000,00 per year
