Job description
WHO WE ARE
Financial Wealth Holdings Group (FWH Group) is a Cape Town-based financial services company built on one simple belief: people deserve real help when it comes to managing their money.
We specialise in debt restructuring, credit solutions, and collections — and we are growing quickly. We work hard to treat every customer fairly, operate with full transparency, and build lasting relationships with the people we serve.
We are a performance-driven business that backs its people. We reward results, invest in development, and create real space for growth. If you bring the drive, we will give you the platform.
Be part of building something that makes a difference. Grow with us.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Collections Agent at FWH Group, you are on the front line of our recovery operation. You will engage customers with overdue accounts — firmly, fairly, and professionally — and find solutions that work for both the customer and the business.
- Conduct high-volume outbound collections calls to customers with overdue accounts using our dialler system, applying firm but fair recovery techniques in line with the National Credit Act (NCA)
- Negotiate payment arrangements, payment plans, and settlements that are realistic for the customer while protecting the business's recovery targets
- Handle inbound queries from customers regarding outstanding balances, account status, and payment options — resolving issues efficiently and professionally
- Identify customers in financial hardship, escalate appropriately, and offer suitable solutions with empathy and care
- Follow up on broken arrangements and unpaid accounts via telephone, email, WhatsApp, and SMS
- Achieve and exceed your daily, weekly, and monthly collections and recovery targets
- Capture and update all customer interactions accurately in our system — same day, every time
- Adhere to all compliance requirements, quality standards, and scripting guidelines — always treating customers fairly
- Contribute to team performance, share what works, and support a high-energy collections floor
REQUIREMENTS
You must have:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- Clear criminal record — a background check will be conducted before appointment
- Minimum 2 years' experience in collections, credit control, payments, or a related environment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collections targets
- Experience working on an outbound dialler (predictive or progressive)
- Experience communicating with customers via email, WhatsApp, and SMS
- Solid understanding of the collections process, debt recovery lifecycle, and NCA compliance
- Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills — confident on the phone and clear in writing
- Resilient and motivated — able to maintain performance under pressure and handle rejection without losing momentum
- Empathetic approach — able to balance recovery goals with fair and respectful customer treatment
- High attention to detail with accurate system recordkeeping and strong ownership of your portfolio
It will be a strong advantage if you have:
- Experience in consumer finance, personal loans, debt review, or fintech collections
- Knowledge of debit order collections, restrikes, or payment distribution environments
- Experience with tracing or skip tracing of hard-to-reach debtors
- Exposure to legal collections processes (letter of demand, handover to attorneys)
- A collections, credit, or contact centre-related qualification
