About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced C&I Sales professional to drive commercial and industrial sales opportunities within the renewable energy and electrical sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships and driving the sales process from initial engagement through to successful conclusion.

This position requires a commercially focused individual with a strong understanding of the C&I market and the ability to engage confidently with customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Southern Africa.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, clients and business partners.
• Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate technical/commercial solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations and presentations.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits and presentations.
• Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Work closely with internal technical, commercial and operational teams.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support the successful conclusion of deals.
• Achieve agreed revenue and sales targets.
• Provide regular pipeline, forecasting and sales reports to management.

Requirements

• 5-8 years' experience in C&I sales, technical sales, renewable energy, electrical or a closely related environment.
• Electrical-related degree.
• Strong understanding of the Commercial & Industrial market.
• Proven business development and sales experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong relationship-management skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Southern Africa.

Travel Requirement

The successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout Southern Africa at least once per month, with travel periods of a minimum of one week at a time.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, technically knowledgeable and confident engaging with C&I customers and stakeholders. The role would suit someone who enjoys business development and is comfortable operating across multiple markets.

Pay: R50 000,00 - R80 000,00 per month
