PG Bison, a proudly South African leader in the decorative wood panel industry, is seeking for a motivated and experienced Commercial Finance & Controls Manager to join our Finance Department at our Boksburg Site. To provide strategic and commercial finance leadership through effective business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, financial performance analysis, and robust internal financial controls. The role will act as a trusted financial advisor to Sales and Operations, providing meaningful financial insights, supporting informed decision-making, driving business performance, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall business value.

Minimum Requirements

• Bcom Accounting/ Bachelor of Accounting/Honours Degree
• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
• Experience working with sales, operational and management teams
• Sound understanding of internal financial controls, governance and risk management
• Strong understanding of management reporting and performance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP experience (SAP advantageous)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
• Experience within manufacturing or operational environments advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide commercial finance business partnering to Sales, Operations and management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Conduct pricing, profitability and financial performance analysis.
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis and business insights.
• Monitor revenue, costs, margins and key financial performance indicators.
• Provide financial input and oversight on sales incentives and commission schemes.
• Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of Internal Financial Controls (IFC).
• Coordinate management attestations and follow up on control deficiencies.
• Provide support for internal and external audits and governance requirements.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities and areas for cost and profitability improvement.
• Develop financial models and analysis to support business decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve financial and operational performance.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Financial Accountant.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting and controls.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and governance requirements.
