About the role
REM Waste is a UK-based waste management company working with 750+ suppliers nationwide. As we scale our commercial business, we’re moving from one-off sales to long-term contracts — and we need a Commercial Sales Executive who can sell them.
You’ll own a book of medium-to-large commercial accounts and sell volume-based contracts that lock in long-term relationships. This is a selling role with an account book attached — not passive account management.
What you’ll do
- Own and grow a portfolio of commercial accounts in HubSpot
- Sell volume-based contracts matched to each customer’s situation — yearly fixed-price, monthly, per-project, and ad-hoc
- Consultatively assess what a customer needs — a national contractor building 400 homes needs something very different from a project-to-project firm — and put the right contract in front of them
- Proactively grow the book: more contracts, more volume, deeper relationships
- Hit contract and revenue targets without being chased
Who you are
- 3+ years in B2B / commercial sales with a contract, solution, or account-growth selling record
- You’re a closer at heart — you grow accounts by selling, not just servicing
- You can read a customer’s situation and match the right commercial offer
- You’re organised, proactive, and own your numbers in CRM
- You work independently and drive your own pipeline
This role is not for you if:
- Your idea of account management is a monthly “anything I can help with?” check-in
- You’ve only renewed or maintained accounts and never actively sold into them
- You need to be chased to hit a target

Logistics
- Hours: Full-time, 5-day working week on a Monday–Saturday rota, 08:00–17:00 BST
- Tech you’ll need (your own): PC/laptop with 8GB RAM (max 2 years old), call-centre headset with mic, dedicated fibre broadband (not shared), quiet home workspace, working webcam
- Language: Fluent, clear spoken English; UK-market phone experience preferred
- Working arrangement: Independent contractor on a UK contract, worked remotely from wherever you're based. You invoice monthly for basic + commission, paid in full, and arrange your own tax and benefits.
