Are you looking to begin or develop your career as a chef? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated CommisChef to join our Food & Beverage team at RHS Garden Rosemoor.
This is a practical, hands-on role where you will receive training and support from our experienced chef team. You will develop your kitchen skills while helping us consistently deliver high-quality food and an excellent experience for our customers.
What’s the role:
- Preparing basic dishes to the required quality and presentation standards
- Following recipes, portion-control requirements and food-safety procedures
- Supporting stock rotation, stocktaking and waste reduction
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety
- Responding positively to changing service demands and kitchen priorities
- Working collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen colleagues
- Taking part in team briefings, training and feedback sessions
We’re looking for:
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn
- A commitment to continuous improvement and openness to feedback
- The ability to remain effective under pressure
- Clear communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Previous relevant experience is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in developing a career in hospitality, particularly within a professional kitchen.
