We're Hiring: Tax & Compliance Accountant

About the Role
Are you a detail-driven finance professional who thrives on precision, deadlines, and staying ahead of regulatory change? Alliance Media is looking for a Tax & Compliance Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of our tax compliance, statutory submissions, and internal controls.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of tax, compliance, and financial reporting — playing a genuinely important role in keeping the business on the right side of every regulatory obligation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and submitting monthly, provisional, and annual tax returns
- Ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and statutory requirements
- Assisting with corporate income tax calculations and supporting schedules
- Maintaining accurate tax records — returns, payments, and correspondence
- Liaising directly with tax authorities (including SARS) and resolving queries
- Supporting internal audits and strengthening tax-related internal controls
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation to keep the business compliant
- Contributing to financial reporting and tax-related analysis
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA / CIMA (completed or in progress is advantageous)
- 3–5 years' experience in a tax or compliance-focused role
- Solid working knowledge of South African tax regulations
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Sage X3, or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
