About the Role

Are you a detail-driven finance professional who thrives on precision, deadlines, and staying one step ahead of regulatory change? Alliance Media is looking for a dedicated Tax & Compliance Accountant to join our Finance team and take full ownership of our tax compliance, statutory submissions, and internal control processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional who wants to build a long-term career at the intersection of tax, compliance, and financial reporting — playing a genuinely important role in keeping the business on the right side of every regulatory obligation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and submitting monthly, provisional, and annual tax returns accurately and on time
• Ensuring full and ongoing compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and statutory requirements
• Assisting with corporate income tax calculations, computations, and supporting schedules
• Maintaining accurate, well-organised, and audit-ready tax records — including returns, payments, and correspondence
• Liaising directly and professionally with tax authorities (including SARS), resolving queries efficiently and confidently
• Supporting internal and external audits, and helping to strengthen tax-related internal controls
• Proactively monitoring changes in tax legislation and advising the business on practical implications
• Contributing to financial reporting, tax provisions, and broader tax-related analysis

What You'll Bring

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACCA / CIMA qualification (completed or in progress is highly advantageous)
• 5–6 years' solid experience in a tax or compliance-focused role
• Strong, up-to-date working knowledge of South African tax regulations and SARS requirements
• Practical experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Sage X3, or similar)
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
