Compliance Administrator (FICA)

Location: Bedfordview
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Compliance / Administration

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Administrator with a strong understanding of FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act) requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all client onboarding and compliance processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct FICA verification and due diligence on new and existing clients.
  • Ensure all client documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update compliance records and databases.
  • Monitor and track outstanding compliance documentation.
  • Perform client risk assessments and ongoing monitoring.
  • Assist with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
  • Prepare compliance reports and documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Liaise with clients, advisors, and internal departments to obtain required information.
  • Stay informed of changes in FICA and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Compliance Officer with administrative and compliance-related tasks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Relevant qualification in Compliance, Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a compliance, FICA, AML, KYC, or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of FICA legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the financial services, insurance, accounting, or legal sector.
  • Exposure to compliance monitoring systems and client onboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, and risk-based compliance frameworks.
