Job description
We are seeking a highly creative Midweight Graphic Designer to produce and deliver high-impact print and digital advertisements. You will work closely with Account Executives and our creative team to craft compelling visual stories using typography, photography, and illustration. This role requires an agile designer who can seamlessly pivot between web and print layouts while maintaining strict attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong Conceptual Ability: The ability to take a brief and come up with executable conceptual ideas that speak to our clients' brand identities.
- Create Multi-Platform Ads: Design effective print, digital, and cross-platform advertising assets.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Account Executives and creative peers to align visuals with client goals.
- Apply Visual Assets: Use typography, photography, illustration, and colour to convey powerful messages.
- Edit Layouts Precisely: Manipulate and refine ad designs according to strict client specifications.
- Align with Management: Communicate project progress clearly to ensure strategic creative direction.
- Track Industry Trends: Research and apply modern design trends relevant to a commercial retail environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience working in a fast-paced digital design field.
- Software Mastery: Hands-on expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
- Design Excellence: Strong aesthetic skills combining fonts, layouts, and colours with an exceptionally conceptual mind.
- Work Ethic: Professional approach to managing time, project costs, and strict deadlines under pressure.
- Attributes: Bias towards accuracy, high innovation, and sharp attention to detail.
Education Requirements
- Schooling: Matriculation / Grade 12 Certificate.
- Qualification: Certificate, Diploma, or BA Degree specialising in Multimedia Design.
