Our ideal Conference & Events Manager is equal parts salesperson, relationship builder, event planner and problem solver. You'll be responsible for growing our conference and events business while ensuring every event from intimate board meetings to large conferences, weddings and celebrations is executed flawlessly. What You'll Be Doing - Go out and find new business This role isn't about waiting for enquiries to land in your inbox. We want someone who enjoys getting out there, building relationships and creating opportunities. You'll: Develop and grow new corporate, government and private sector business. Build relationships with event planners, travel management companies, PCOs, wedding planners and corporate clients. Conduct regular sales calls, networking visits and client meetings. Represent the property at networking events, trade shows and industry functions. Generate repeat business through exceptional client relationships. Identify opportunities to increase conference, accommodation and food & beverage revenue. Meet and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.

Experience & Qualifications

You'll ideally have:

• 3–5 years' experience in conference, events or hospitality sales.
• Experience working within a hotel, conference venue or hospitality environment.
• A proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent administrative and organisational abilities.
• A valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality or event management systems.

Bonus Points If You Have

• An established network within the Cape Town corporate or hospitality market.
• Experience selling conferences, accommodation and banqueting packages.
• Wedding and social event planning experience.
• Knowledge of the local tourism and hospitality industry.
