Job description
National Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering.
Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
10 plus years in Electrical Engineering field
- Manage the project from commencement through completion.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor all construction and electrical activities.
- Ensure the works are completed within the approved programme and timeframe.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, electricians, suppliers and other project personnel.
- Manage day-to-day activities.
- Coordinate site establishment and preparation.
- Ensure that personnel, equipment and materials are available when required.
- Monitor progress against the approved construction programme.
- Supervise the relocation and installation of electrical equipment
- Coordinate installation of busbars and electrical cabling.
- Coordinate transformer testing and associated electrical works.
- Coordinate transformer oil purification.
- Oversee installation of solar lighting and associated works.
- Coordinate required building repairs and site preparation.
- Ensure that civil/building works required for the electrical installation are properly executed.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, building and electrical activities.
- Ensure all work is executed according to the approved specifications, drawings and requirements.
- Inspect completed work and ensure defects are identified and rectified.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure required quality records and completion documentation are maintained.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable OHS legislation and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the Construction Health and Safety Officer.
- Ensure workers comply with site safety procedures, PPE requirements and safe work procedures.
- Ensure risks associated with electrical and construction activities are properly controlled.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are followed when working.

Pay: R53 000,00 per month
