Vacancy: Control Room Operator
Location: Alrode
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift Work: Day, Night, Weekends & Public Holidays
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating responses to incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of our clients, personnel, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents.
- Dispatch security officers and monitor incident response.
- Maintain accurate occurrence books, incident reports, and shift handover reports.
- Communicate effectively with security personnel, management, clients, and emergency services.
- Report faults in security equipment and escalate issues when necessary.
- Follow all company procedures and security protocols.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid PSIRA Registration (minimum Grade C preferred).
- Previous control room or security operations experience will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and security monitoring systems).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
