control room operator

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and is experienced in vehicle tracking, CCTV monitoring, and transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Ndola Control Room to monitor all vehicles dispatched from various sites.
• Update and maintain vehicle turnaround reports for:
• Northbound movements
• Southbound movements
• South African corridor operations
• Identify and report vehicles that are behind schedule to the Operations team.
• Monitor security escort groups and ensure all updates are accurate and cross-referenced with vehicle tracking records.
• Monitor CCTV systems across all BHL sites, including Reolink camera systems.
• Ensure security guards report for duty at all designated BHL sites.
• Report discrepancies, incidents, and any operational anomalies promptly.
• Manage access control at the BHL Meyerton site.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Control Room Supervisor or Management.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Previous experience in a vehicle tracking or control room environment (advantageous).
• Broad knowledge of cross-border transport and logistics operations.
• Experience with CCTV monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with the ability to capture and update information accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Able to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays if required.
