Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menu requirements. Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperatures. Assist with menu planning and daily food production. Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness. Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and ordering. Minimize food waste and adhere to portion control guidelines. Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations. Assist with catering functions and special events when required. Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery.### Skills and Competencies

Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations. Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills.### Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant Culinary Qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Cook within a contract catering, hospitality, or food service environment.
