Purpose of the role

To build industry/school relationships to create and implement opportunities for students’ work integrated learning (WIL) module requirements, thereby enhancing students’ practical skills and ensuring they are equipped for the workplace

Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Education (MEd)
• First degree must be a Bachelor of Education (BEd)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an educator, assessor, and/or Teaching Practice Coordinator
• Experience coordinating student placements, teaching practice, work-integrated learning, or related educational initiatives will be advantageous
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with schools and educational stakeholders

Duties and Responsibilities

School Partnership

• Development Establish and maintain partnerships with schools and education organisations to secure Teaching Practice opportunities.
• Develop and nurture relationships with school leaders and stakeholders.
• Identify and create placement opportunities aligned to curriculum outcomes and student development needs.

Teaching Practice Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and implementation of Teaching Practice placements.
• Collaborate with academic departments to ensure placement activities align with programme requirements and learning outcomes.
• Manage placement logistics and ensure timely student placements

Student Support and Development

• Facilitate orientation and readiness programmes for student teachers.
• Provide guidance on Teaching Practice requirements, professional conduct, and workplace expectations.
• Deliver workshops focused on career readiness, interview preparation, and professional development.
• Serve as a support and escalation point for students during Teaching Practice placements.

Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance

• Monitor student progress throughout Teaching Practice placements.
• Gather and analyse feedback from students, schools, and supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records and placement documentation.
• Prepare reports on placement outcomes, student performance, and programme effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant educational, accreditation, and institutional requirements.
